Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By adding or using Echo ("Echo", "the bot", "we", "us") on Discord, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and to our Privacy Policy. Echo is operated by NexaLab. If you do not agree, do not use Echo.

Because Echo runs on Discord and on third-party AI services, your use of Echo is also subject to Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and — for the features listed in section 4 — to the terms of the providers powering those features.

2. Use of Echo

Echo is provided as a free AI assistant for Discord. When you use it, you agree that you will not:

• Use Echo for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive, or to violate Discord's own Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or exploit Echo or its underlying services.
• Generate or share content that infringes others' rights, is deceptive, or violates the rules of the servers you use Echo in.
• Use automated means to spam Echo or to circumvent rate limits.

3. AI-generated content

Echo uses artificial intelligence and may generate text, images, translations, summaries, and audio. Such output is generated automatically — by models such as Qwen, Google Gemini, and NVIDIA Nemotron — and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or offensive. You are responsible for how you use Echo's output and for verifying it where it matters. Echo is not a substitute for professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise).

4. Providers & their terms

Echo routes requests across several AI and data providers. Using a feature means the content needed for that feature is processed by the matching provider, under that provider's own terms and policies in addition to these Terms:

5. Third-party content

Some content Echo surfaces — GIFs, web pages, market prices, generated images and voices — belongs to third parties or is produced by third-party models. You may not redistribute it commercially without checking the applicable rights, and you must respect each provider's attribution requirements (including KLIPY's, which Echo displays on every GIF result).

6. Availability & rate limits

Echo balances requests across providers, some of which run on free tiers with strict quotas. To keep the service usable for everyone, Echo applies per-server rate limits, and features may be slowed, queued, or temporarily unavailable when a provider's quota is exhausted. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.

7. No warranties

Echo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that Echo will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NexaLab and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of Echo, including reliance on AI-generated output, prices, translations, or transcriptions.

9. Content & conduct

You retain responsibility for the content you submit and share through Echo. We may restrict or block access to Echo for servers or users that violate these Terms, and we may remove content where required.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time — including when providers are added or removed. Continued use of Echo after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. The latest version is always available at this page.
